Customers and orders
In a Bit SaiGon an order is not just a ticket: every order is a customer standing at the counter or sitting at a table, and they will not wait forever. Here is every rule about customers and orders.
Reading the bubble over a customer
Each customer has a bubble showing what they ordered next to a patience pie. The pie empties over time; when it runs out, the customer leaves.
Customers are not all alike: some wait patiently for a long time, others are in a hurry and leave much sooner. Watch the pies, not just the order customers arrived in.
Counter customers and VIP guests at tables
Counter customers stand at the serving window; bring the plate to the counter and you are done. On maps with tables, VIP customers walk in and sit down — you carry the food to their table, they eat there and then leave.
VIP customers add a tip to the dish’s score. On maps with the plate system, they leave a dirty plate on the table after eating: someone has to clear it and wash it, or the kitchen runs short of clean plates.
Two-dish orders: a main and a side
On some maps a customer orders two things at once: exactly one main and one side, for example a plate of rice with a drink. The bubble shows both dishes.
- Serve them one at a time, in either order; whichever arrives disappears from the bubble and scores straight away.
- The side does not need a plate.
- The customer only eats, or leaves the counter, once both have arrived.
- Two-dish customers wait longer than one-dish customers.
- The team combo only goes up when the second dish lands.
What a dish is worth
Every dish has a base score plus a speed bonus — the most when the customer’s patience is still full, shrinking to zero as the pie empties. VIP customers add a tip. That total is multiplied by the team combo: 1.1x after 2 dishes in a row, 1.2x after 5.
When an order is lost
An order is lost in one of two ways, and both have exactly the same effect:
- The customer runs out of patience before being fully served.
- Someone hands a dirty plate to a waiting customer, at the counter or at a table — the order is cancelled on the spot, the customer leaves, and whoever served it is still holding the dirty plate.
- The team score drops by about 30% of the dish value (at least 1 point); it never goes below 0, and nobody’s personal score is docked.
- A two-dish customer who already got one dish only costs the missing one.
- The team combo resets, and the order counts toward the match’s "Dishes lost".
- Dirty-plate serves are counted per player on the scoreboard — for display only, they do not affect titles or ranking.
Frequently asked questions
Is serving the wrong dish on a clean plate penalised?
No. The wrong dish on a clean plate simply does nothing — you only lose the time. Only a dirty plate cancels the order.
I just served and the plate counts as dirty — what now?
There is a short grace period: a plate you yourself just turned dirty with a counter serve, within about 2 seconds, is not penalised, because the counter hands that plate straight back to you.
What is different about VIP customers?
VIP customers sit at a table, need the food brought to them, eat on the spot and add a tip. After eating they leave their plate on the table.
